What the AGPL means in practice
This is a plain-language summary, not legal advice, and the license text is what counts.
- You can use, study, modify and share Delegatron, including commercially.
- If you distribute it, or a modified version, you must share the source under the same license.
- If you run a modified version as a service that others use over a network, you must offer them its source too.
- Code that Delegatron generates for you is not automatically covered by the AGPL; it's yours to license, subject to any third-party rights in it.
Third-party software
Delegatron depends on open-source libraries including FastAPI, Pydantic, Click, Rich, HTTPX, Uvicorn, GitPython, the OpenAI, Anthropic and Google SDKs, Next.js, React and Tailwind CSS. Each is used under its own license (mostly MIT, BSD and Apache 2.0). The direct dependencies and their licenses are listed in THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md. Those projects are not affiliated with Delegatron.
AI models
No model weights are included with Delegatron. Local models such as phi4 and qwen2.5-coder are downloaded separately, typically through Ollama, under their own licenses. Cloud models are used through each provider's API under that provider's terms.
